Once everything is cooked, you can safely get to work and make gloves with your own hands with the construction of a pattern. The sequence of actions is as follows:

  • Take the paper and fold it in half.
  • Place your palm on the paper so that your thumb is out of it.

Important! Pay attention to the fact that there should be a space between the index finger and the edge of the paper a few millimeters.

  • Circle the hand with a pencil, leaving 3 millimeters above the fingers. Try to push them apart only in order to dot the points necessary for further work.

Important! After you have circled your palm, pay attention to the fact that the lines between the fingers are parallel.

  • Mark the place where the thumb passes, with points B and C.
  • Mark the gap between the index and middle fingers with point A.
  • From point A, draw a vertical line.
  • From points B and C, draw horizontal lines along the palm of your hand.
  • Draw a straight oval at the junction. This will be the thumb hole.
  • Pattern is ready. Cut her out.
  • To make a gusset, circle each finger (except the thumb) and cut.
  • Combine the pattern on the pattern with gussets. Circle them directly on the diagram and mark.
  • Draw a curved line at the bottom of each insert. Cut patterns along this line.

Important! To transfer the pattern to the fabric, you can use a special disappearing felt-tip pen. Its advantage lies in the fact that during work it can mark all the points on the fabric, and after that it is washed off without any problems, leaving no traces.

  • Next, make a pattern for the thumb. Circle it with pencil on paper. Find the middle top point, draw a wavy line to the right of it. Repeat the same action on the left side.

Important! If you are not confident in your abilities, you can check the finished pattern. To do this, you need to sew a test pair of gloves from an inexpensive or knitted fabric. And using contrasting threads, you can make all the notes of what will need to be fixed.

  • Transfer the pattern to the skin from the wrong side.
  • Cut the finished workpiece and sweep it with a stitch.
  • Turn to the front side and make a control fitting.
  • Bend each element of the thumb in half lengthwise and sew.
  • Cut the angle so that the front side is turned out. Turn the finished element to the front side.
  • Pin the workpiece of the thumb to the glove with pins. Try on gloves again. If all is well, you can confidently stitch the elements.
  • Sew along the sides and process the bottom of the finished product.

Important! You can experiment with this pattern and sew both short and long models of gloves reaching the elbow. And in order to make it easier to wear such accessories and they lay beautifully on the hand, a number of small buttons should be sewn on the inside. In addition, the buttons will also serve as the original decor.

How to make fingerless gloves with your own hands?

Fingerless gloves, or mitts, are an excellent option to keep your hands always warm, but without any problems when working with various gadgets. Mittens can be, like regular gloves, made of leather, suede, lace or knitwear.

To make such a fashion accessory yourself, you can use two ways:

  1. Sew mittens from a piece of fabric using the above method of sewing full gloves as a basis. The most important thing - during the construction of the pattern do not forget to “cut off your fingers”.
  2. Use a ready-made old pair of gloves. Next, we consider this option in more detail.

Giving new life to old gloves

To make mitts you will need:

  • Old leather gloves (can be taken from another material);
  • Threads in color;
  • Needles;
  • Pencil;
  • Scissors;
  • Blade.

When everything is ready, we proceed to the manufacture of mitts:

  1. First, old gloves must be turned inside out.
  2. Measure out the length to be removed. Cut off the “fingers”.
  3. We make a small bend (about 1 millimeter) on each “finger”, stitch it.

The base of the mitts is ready. You can already wear them in this form or decorate them, for example, sew on a zipper or bows. We suggest you make it more stylish and original design. For this:

  1. From the wrong side, on the upper surface of the mitten, draw in random order rectangles of different sizes.
  2. Using scissors or a blade, cut them out.

Important! To prevent damage to the other side during cutting, place a piece of thick cardboard inside the product.

That's all, you became the owner of trendy mitts, which today can be purchased exclusively in expensive boutiques.
