Essential Repair Tools

The easiest and simplest solution is to contact a clothing repair studio. And if you want to restore the product sparingly, you can do it yourself. The whole process will not require you anything that you can not handle. Of course, without a certain repair experience, the result may be less accurate than a professional restoration of a leather jacket. But if you act carefully - everything is in your power.

In order to return a neat and beautiful look to a leather product, you will need several items, the presence of which should be taken care of in advance.

Leather:

  • In the case where the tear on the clothes has the shape of a corner, then you will not need patch material.
  • If a piece is completely torn out on the jacket, it is necessary to select a flap similar in color, texture and thickness, equal to the size of the hole formed.

Substrate

For the substrate, you can use not only suede and skin. If the tear is small, you can apply a dense fabric.

Important! The only drawback of ordinary matter is that it does not adhere well to a leather base.

Glue

Repairing a leather item with any glue will fail. To seal the gap, use the “Moment” glue, or special glue for the skin. Jacket repair in this case will take less time, and the result will be more reliable.

Important! PVA glue, and especially “Super glue”, should never be used on a jacket made of such material.
