How to sew an apron for a kitchen from jeans?

To sew a beautiful and functional apron from old jeans with your own hands, you will need:

  • old denim pants;
  • bright cotton fabric for decoration;
  • necessary sewing accessories - threads, needles;
  • sewing machine.

The entire creative process of sewing a new product is carried out according to the following algorithm:

  1. Carefully cut off the top of the jeans.
  2. We begin to manufacture ties and finishes. To do this, cut off the long strips from the bright cotton fabric, fold them in half in length and iron them.
  3. Fabric for the manufacture of frills should be picked up and attached to the main fabric with the help of special pins or sweep with a large seam. Such actions will help to neatly stitch the fabric on the machine.
  4. A second jeans leg can be used to make the top of the apron.
  5. From cotton fabric we make blanks for apron ties, bait them. Sew the obtained inlay on the sewing machine in a straight line, leaving a piece of ribbon for the tie on the workpiece. We do the same on the other hand.
  6. Carefully rip off the old pocket or pockets from the rest of the jeans, bait on a new product. Having noticed the pockets with a sewing machine, we sew them in a straight line.
  7. With a straight line, gently connect the upper and lower parts of the apron.

How to sew an apron for a kitchen from a denim shirt?

You probably have several shirts that have worn out collars or cuffs, it’s a pity to throw them away, but they are not needed and take up space in the closet. You can turn such a thing with your own hands into an attractive and practical jeans apron with your own hands.

To get an attractive apron, do the following:

  1. Cut off the sleeves and the old shirt collar.
  2. Cut the textile along the shoulder and side seams.
  3. Try the future apron on yourself, immediately mark with a small piece of chalk the line of the future armhole, which can be made round or straight.
  4. Cut the unwanted fabric along the marked line.
  5. Fold the apron blank in half, cut the unwanted fabric on the other side.

We offer you several ways to make the simplest, but very beautiful skirts, for the manufacture of which there is absolutely no need for a pattern or pattern.

Instruction No. 1:

  1. Measure how long your skirt will be.
  2. The selected length must be stepped back from the waistband of jeans and carefully cut off the legs.
  3. Spread the inside of the legs, gently smooth with an iron.
  4. Bend the remaining corners in the back, sew the fabric on the sewing machine.
  5. On the front half, lay one side on the other and sew, also laying the fabric.
  6. Fold the bottom edge of the product and hem it with a straight machine stitch.

Instruction No. 2:

  1. From the back pocket of your trousers, measure from one to five centimeters plus an allowance for the seams, and cut off the jeans trousers.
  2. Take any fabric you like.
  3. Cut a piece two to three times longer from the selected fabric than the denim with pockets.
  4. We make a frill from the selected material and sew it to the product.

How to sew slippers from old jeans?

Do you have a lot of unnecessary old jeans in your house? Dont be upset. From them you can make home slippers for friends and girlfriends who have come to visit:

  • Before stitching slippers from old jeans with your own hands, sort and smooth the old jeans stored in the closet.
  • Then we apply a pattern, the size of which can be adjusted depending on the size.
