Cotton eco. What is it?

Textile products in the content of harmful components in its composition is divided into four groups:

  • I - fabrics for the manufacture of things for newborns and infants under the age of 36 months.
  • II - material used for long-term contact with the skin.
  • ІІІ - textiles, which should at least be in contact with the skin or have no points of contact with it at all.
  • IV - fabrics for decoration. Used to create jewelry on garments.

Important! Eco cotton belongs to the first group of textiles. It is a material that does not have harmful substances in its composition.

For the manufacture of threads, not ordinary cotton is used, but bio-cotton. It differs from the usual version of the raw material by the methods of plant treatment:

  • When planting, seeds are used that do not have any genetic changes.
  • For sowing choose an ecologically clean area.
  • When growing cotton, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, heavy metals and insecticides, as well as herbicides, which help to destroy excess vegetation, are not used.
  • The enrichment of the soil with useful minerals occurs only through the alternation of planting and the use of organic fertilizers.
  • Soil cultivation and weeding is carried out only manually.
  • Ripe seeds are harvested by hand.
  • The bleaches used in the manufacture of yarn and fabric do not contain chlorine.
  • Ready-made clothes are processed only with natural dyes with a low content of sulfur and metal.

Important! Baby clothes for newborns from this fabric have a natural brown or green color.

  • Coloring occurs only in bright colors. The drawing is applied only to the front side by printing.

All this makes organic cotton more durable and resistant to external factors of influence, including ironing, washing and frequent wear.

Important! Eco cotton stably withstands more than 100 washing cycles, and only after that it becomes sensitive to external influences on it, while ordinary cotton grown using chemicals begins to deteriorate after 5 washings.

The main modes of operation of washing machines

After buying things from organic textiles, the question naturally arises: is it possible to wash eco cotton in a washing machine? You will find similar information on a tag of clothes. Be sure to indicate the washing mode and water temperature. In order to quickly choose the right program, you should know the basic operating modes of washing household appliances.

Quick wash

The name of this mode may differ in machines of different manufacturers, but the essence of the washing process remains the same. This is a shortened cycle that is designed for lightly soiled laundry.

Important! On average, washing takes 15-40 minutes. Mistresses often use this mode, since it saves not only time, but also electricity, water, and a washing agent.

Daily wash

Such washing makes it possible in a short time, usually up to 40 minutes, to rub over not very dirty things of everyday wear.

Important! The water temperature in this mode reaches only 30 degrees, so you should not pay special attention to the color of things loaded into the drum. The mode does not require a full machine load.

Economical washing

The eco wash mode in the washing machine is quite popular. This cycle uses a reduced volume of water at a low temperature.

Important! Electricity is also used sparingly. This does not affect the quality of washing, since the time of the process itself is increased.

Intensive Wash

This mode is used when it is necessary to clean very dirty things. The cycle takes a fairly long time, and the water temperature in this case is from 60 to 90 degrees.

Prewash

Used to remove stubborn old dirt from the fabric. Before the washing process, the laundry is soaked in water at a temperature of 30 degrees for two hours. After that, the main wash cycle is activated.

Hand wash or delicate

Suitable for washing things with a similar mark. For a gentle process, the machine does not rotate the drum, but simply shakes it. When spinning, the likelihood of spoiling a delicate thing is also minimal, since the speed is reduced.

Soft wool

The mode is intended for products from light and soft wool. Such things do not lose their beautiful appearance and do not crumple, thanks to the low speed of rotation of the drum.

Bio-care or biophase

The washing water temperature in this mode is 40 degrees - this is the best option for preserving enzymes in a washing agent.

Important! Such washing effectively removes biological contaminants.

Stain removal

Allows you to remove stains from clothes from various fabrics at a low water temperature (up to 40 degrees).

Heat up to 90 degrees

Using hot water, washing in this mode eliminates dirt on textiles.

Eco program

It is a mode in which two washing options are combined: biophase and intensive washing. Helps deal with cleaning very dirty things. To obtain the desired result, it is worth using detergents, which include enzymes.

Such a cycle includes two stages:

  • 1 - use of the properties of enzymes at low temperatures.
  • 2 - the use of the remaining detergent components of a detergent at high temperatures.

No ironing

When this function is activated, the automatic machine blocks the complete discharge of water. Thus, clean things do not look so rumpled.

More water

This function is activated to more thoroughly remove powder residues from the tissues. It is also convenient when washing bulk items such as double bedding, bedspreads, curtains.

Spin Off

Used when washing items from delicate fabrics. Thus, they protect clothes from possible damage. Removing water residues from tissues is done manually.

Rinse delay

After the last rinse, the water does not drain and clean linen remains soaked. This function is activated in cases where it is not possible to remove the laundry immediately after washing. Thus, the clothes do not dry out in the drum and do not have serious wrinkles or jams.

Important! Before pulling out the laundry, spin or drain should be turned on.

Half load

If there is not much dirty clothes, then it is very convenient to use the half load function. At the same time, the washing time is reduced and the consumption of water and electric energy is reduced.

Extra rinse

A particularly useful function for washing children's clothes. It helps to more effectively get rid of the remnants of the detergent in the tissues.

How to load the washing machine?

For household appliances to serve properly and for a long time, you must use it correctly. When loading the washing machine, the following simple rules should be followed:

  • Avoid overloading the washing machine. This significantly reduces the quality of washing, increases noise and vibration, and also reduces the life of the household appliance.
  • Lay the laundry in a loose, flattened form.
  • When closing the door of the machine, make sure that no element of clothing falls between the glass and the cuff of the drum. This may result in water leakage and deterioration in washing quality. Press the door firmly until you feel a click.
  • Do not wash blankets and pillows in the washing machine, as well as carpets, rugs and other bulky items. Equipment may not withstand such a heavy load.
  • Remember that the powder receiver is divided into three compartments and each has its own purpose:
    1. I - for detergents for prewash.
    2. II - basic, for washing powder.
    3. ІІІ - for air conditioning or antistatic.

Important! Carefully monitor the cleanliness of the powder receiver. After a wash cycle, it should be thoroughly washed and wiped dry. Non-observance of the cleanliness of the tank leads to the accumulation of dirt and the formation of mold, which in turn leads to the appearance of an unpleasant odor from clean linen.
