Method One - Scotch

One of the most common options to assemble and hang a puzzle on a wall in the ground:

  1. It is best to collect immediately a picture on a solid basis - cardboard or plywood.
  2. After assembling from above, we apply the same pre-prepared plywood (particleboard) in size or larger than the picture and put it on top.
  3. From all sides we fix binders for money - you can use ordinary clothespins.
  4. Turn over.
  5. We remove the top and begin to glue with a wide adhesive tape with an overlap, capturing the edges of the base on which they were assembled.
  6. With a clerical knife, we cut off the excess around the edges.
  7. We pierce the bubbles and smooth out irregularities with a ruler.

Important! If you nevertheless assembled the puzzle on the floor or table, you need to put thin paper or newspaper under it, carefully lifting the edge, stretch it diagonally, and then according to the method described above.

Second way - PVA glue

Sponge glue on the front side. It must be done quickly so that it does not have time to dry. Do not worry, spots and stains will disappear after drying and only a thin, transparent film will remain.

Important! For added strength, it’s best to stick your painting on cardboard.

You can also use special glue for puzzles - it dries quickly enough (in an hour) and is easy to use large mosaics (3000-4000 thousand). The principle is the same as with PVA glue.

Important! In order not to damage the work surface, you can put a newspaper.

The third way - self-adhesive film

This method is similar to sticking extra protection for a phone or tablet. In principle, such films have a schematically illustrated instruction:

  1. Separate the film a few centimeters and apply it to the front side of the picture with the adhesive side.
  2. With one hand we pull the edge, and with the other we press.
  3. Gently smooth over the surface.

How to hang a puzzle on a wall without a frame?

If you assembled a mosaic into pairs of thousands of parts, having spent several weeks on it, it would be completely natural to want to leave it whole rather than make it out. But what if you have no framework? Make to order? - This is an expensive pleasure. Buy it ready? - It is unlikely that there will be a suitable size. So how to hang a puzzle on a wall without a frame?

Method 1

You can use double-sided tape:

  1. If the picture is small, it is enough to cut out five squares about two by two centimeters. Glue in the corners and one in the center. Peel off the paper on the other side and apply it to the wall.
  2. If the puzzle is big and heavy, then we glue the adhesive tape around the entire perimeter and one strip in the center. Glue in the right place.

Important! The disadvantage of this option is that it will not be possible to take a picture without damaging the wallpaper or decorative plaster - there will be traces of adhesive tape.

Method 2

A good option for small mosaics is to attach using sewing pins. But this method is suitable for crafts no more than a couple of hundred parts. Hang a large puzzle on the wall this way does not work! They won’t hold him, or they will have to part with needles, which can ruin the appearance.

Aesthetically, such a product will look, of course, better in the frame - it can be done with your own hands, and quite budgetally. We will need a ceiling baguette and transparent “liquid nails”.

Important! The edges of the base to which the craft is glued should be the width of the baguettes.

Operating procedure:

  1. We cut our ceiling skirting into four parts of the required length.
  2. In those places where there will be joints, we do a diagonal cut.
  3. “Liquid nails” glue around the perimeter.
  4. After making small holes in the upper corners, we hang on the carnations.

Done!

Important! The frame can be left white, or covered with varnish or acrylic paints. Another little trick: if you stick the assembled mosaic onto a Whatman paper larger than himself, then you get a visual frame.
