How to remove horizontal blinds?

Horizontal blinds have a very simple fastening, as they are fixed with a latch that holds the upper bar. To properly remove the blinds from the window, follow these steps:

  1. Before removing the structure, dismantle the plastic decorative covers in all places of fastening.
  2. On the upper edge of the system, locate the latches and release the lamellas by lifting the plates up (we pull the latches towards ourselves and to the right).
  3. Unfasten the cornices from the brackets securing the entire structure.
  4. Pull the curtains forward and down.
  5. Remove the structure from the window.

Important! If it was not possible to dismantle the system in this way, determine how to remove the blinds together with the brackets. Usually they are fastened with metal corners and fixed with hexagonal self-tapping screws, so first unscrew the bolts at the bottom of the window, and then at the top and remove the shutters.

How to remove the blinds?Attic windows made of plastic often install horizontal blinds with fasteners on removable clips. Both fixing and removing such clamps must be done with a special clamping key - the clamps must be turned counterclockwise.

Important! If the structure is massive, then you will need several people to dismantle it. Therefore, to avoid such difficulties, we recommend initially installing several compact identical systems on the window openings, rather than one large design.

How to remove vertical blinds?

The design of vertical curtains includes the following details:

  • cornice - it can be made of various materials: plastic, aluminum, wood, fabric;
  • weights;
  • chain connecting lamellas;
  • runners;
  • lamella control chain;
  • control cord;
  • lamels.

If there is a need to remove the lamellas themselves, then detach them from the clip that holds the plate on the cornice. If you need to remove the entire structure, then read the instructions.

Cloth, aluminum, plastic vertical blinds can be removed from the window as follows:

  1. Open the curtains using the control chain.
  2. Collect all the slats on one side using the control system (make sure that the plates do not twist).
  3. Pull out the weights and chain at the bottom. This is to eliminate confusion.
  4. Remove each lamella carefully, without damaging the mount, since the clips are mainly made of plastic, and over time they tend to wear out and break from inaccurate handling.
  5. If it is necessary to remove the cornice, then hold the cornice itself with one hand and press the latch in the form of a tongue with the other. Thus, it is necessary to disconnect the cornice from each side.

Important! If you want to remove the cornice with the attached structure, then remember that in this case, the lamellas may wrinkle and the attachment mechanisms may be damaged.Use this option only for small blinds. And keep in mind that aluminum and plastic plates cannot be folded.

To remove wooden blinds is a little more difficult: remove the lamellas one after the other, first removing the side clips and the connecting chain.

Features of working with roller blinds

The design of roller blinds is thought out in such a way that you can disconnect either the entire structure, or only the shaft with the canvas. When dismantling the entire system, the structure is removed from the Velcro or clip, or dismantled after unscrewing the screws. In cases of dismantling only the shaft, use a screwdriver to bend the special locking tab and pull the blade towards you.

Important! Self-tapping screws must first be unscrewed at the bottom of the structure, and then at the top, otherwise the whole system may simply collapse and deform.
