Weaving a braid is better on a hard surface.

Important! To get the simplest round product with a meter diameter, you will need 70 m of rope.

Working process:

  1. Divide the fibers into parts approximately equally and braid them in a braid.
  2. Fasten the end so that the pigtail does not become loose.
  3. Fold the resulting harness with a spiral and begin to twist it.
  4. Fasten the weave with a thread or piece of twine every 50 mm.
  5. After you have completely twisted the pigtail into a spiral, bring its end to the wrong side and sew with thread or glue.

We use old towels

This is a great opportunity not only to make an original and unique product, but also to clean the cabinet from unnecessary things. Find 3 towels that have lost their attractive appearance from numerous washes.

Important! It is desirable that the products are of the same size. The coloring and texture of matter does not matter. The more colorful, the more original!

  • Cut towels lengthwise into strips of 3 cm wide.
  • Take the stripes, sew them around the edge on a typewriter or manually.
  • Start weaving a braid.

Important! To make the pigtail even, use pins, and fasten it with threads every 10 cm. If the strip is over, sew a new one from the fabric of the same color.

  • After you have twisted a long braid, fold it like a “snail”, not forgetting to sew the edges together.

Wicker products are becoming more and more popular. Without spending almost a dime, you get the opportunity to beautifully and originally decorate the interior. Let's try to make an interesting wicker rug using old t-shirts that are lying in the closet.

First, prepare the “yarn” for weaving:

  1. Cut the bottom trim and top from old T-shirts.
  2. Cut the remainder with a single strip of 15 mm wide.
  3. Pull the tape along the length and curl it up.

Important! Similarly, prepare “yarn” from other T-shirts.

Working process:

  1. Weave braids along the length of the product.
  2. Secure the ends of the braids with pins so that they do not open.
  3. Now prepare the material on which the obtained pigtails will be sewn.
  4. Fold the material in half, stitch from 2 sides, then turn it over.
  5. Sew the remaining side after that.
  6. When laying the harnesses alternately on the fabric, stitch them or sew them by hand.

Important! Do not forget to fix the ends by stepping back a few centimeters from the edge.
