  • They are ideal for bedrooms, as they bring comfort, create beautiful diffused light.
  • Look great in large halls.
  • Living rooms are also often decorated with them.

In this technique today, not only chandeliers are made, but also table lamps, lampshades, and shades. They are able to decorate a desk, make everyday work or classes less boring, monotonous.

Varieties of thread lights

Naturally, before you make a lampshade from threads and a ball, you need to understand what they generally are. To date, there are several types of lighting devices made of threads in shape:

  • Cylinder.
  • Ball.
  • A lampshade is a truncated cone.

In addition, it is possible to make interesting scattered and direct light fixtures:

  • The first option is externally a ball with a small hole for mounting in the upper part.
  • The second option assumes a wide opening at the bottom of the device. If desired, you can affect the light intensity.

Important! Please note that the quality of light directly depends on the number of threads used to create the lampshade. That is, the more threads, the dimmer the lighting.

A ball of thread is appropriate for any room, the main thing is that it fits in the shade and style into the interior. The Art Nouveau-style interior also quite accepts such an addition. You can hang several of these balls at once, for example, in the bedroom to diffuse soft light.

Additional materials, tools:

  • Plastic bottle or balloons.
  • Not too thick threads of the desired shade.
  • Greasy hand cream.

Phased assembly of a thread chandelier

It is recommended to carry out all the work in stages, so as not to miss anything. We suggest you take advantage of the experience of others, people who know exactly how to make a chandelier from threads. They set out everything in an accessible, simple, understandable way.

Step-by-step manufacturing of a thread lamp:

  1. Making the basics. First, inflate the ball or cut off the plastic bottle. The material is selected based on the shape of the product you want to receive.
  2. Inflate the ball to the specified size, then draw a circle with a diameter of 7 cm in the region of the nodule.
  3. Cover the entire surface of the ball with hand cream. Due to this, in the future, getting a ball out of a filament frame will not be particularly difficult.
  4. Now prepare the threads. Take a can, pour glue and water in the ratio of one to three. Make a hole in the plastic with the needle into which the thread is inserted. The spool of thread will be inside the jar of glue. The whole bobbin should be impregnated with glue, in the process of moving the threads through the lid, the remaining glue will be removed.
  5. We proceed to winding the threads. To make the ball transparent, a little thread is required. Drawing directly depends on your imagination. To make the ceiling strong, it is better to direct the threads in different directions - horizontally, vertically, at an angle.
  6. Soak a ball of thread several times with glue, leave it to dry for 12 hours.
  7. Remove the balloon from the plafond by simply piercing it with a needle.

See how easy it is to create plafonds for the chandelier with your own hands from threads. There is nothing complicated and impossible. It remains only to attach the finished product to the ceiling.

Connect the lampshade to the mains

Any lighting device, whether it is a crystal, floor, wall or table chandelier, has a shade in which a light bulb is screwed. It is powered by cable. Therefore, at this stage, you need to take care of attaching the cartridge:

  • You can use a tin can of small dimensions for this purpose, holding simultaneously all the structural elements.
  • The cartridge connects to a cable that provides power through the bottom of the can.
  • Then the lamp is screwed in, a ball-shaped shade is put on top of it. The wire is better to decorate.
