This also applies to equipment that is so important in any home as the toilet, and more often than not, it simply stops flushing normally. In this matter, you need to understand in detail and understand why the toilet does not flush well, what to do in such cases and how not to bring the equipment to such a state. After all, when the toilet breaks, everyone has to worry, since we use it quite often and daily, and without it it is simply impossible to exist normally in any home. Features of the design and operation of the toilet "Compact"

It was during the existence of the Soviet Union that the most compact variant of the toilet was invented, which occupied a minimum of space and was quite multifunctional. From that moment on, plumbing models such as “Compact” toilets have firmly entered our lives. Even today, this model remains one of the most popular.

The toilet consists of a compact of the following parts:

  • Bowl.
  • Flushing tank.
  • Fittings.

Important! You can install such a device in any apartment, even with the smallest bathroom. It belongs to the category of floor toilets and is attached directly to the floor. Therefore, the entire load falls on the floor, which holds both the mass of the equipment itself and the person sitting on it.

But unfortunately, this happens quite often that such a toilet does not flush well. The reasons for this unpleasant phenomenon are very logical and completely solvable.

Important! Problems arise with the care of such a system, because the tank itself is quite large and it is inconvenient to approach it. This design must be completely kept clean, including sewer and communication hoses.

Why does the toilet begin to flush poorly?

There are a lot of sources of such troubles - the cause of insufficient flushing can be both serious breakdowns and the imperfect design of the drainage system or bowl.

Important! In private homes, such problems arise more often due to errors made in the planning of the sewer system.

Now we will consider in detail each possible cause of such a breakdown.

Clogged toilet flush

The fact is that the most ordinary water, which contains mineral salts, enters the tank. They tend to be deposited on the walls of the tank and accumulate on its working elements. These growths are called calcareous deposits or hardness salts.

Since the drain hole is not too large, it clogs up quite quickly and the water begins to pass slowly, as a result of which the toilet bowl does not flush well.

6There are two ways to solve this problem:

  • Leave no more than a liter of water in the tank and pour one hundred grams of a 5 or 7 percent solution of phosphoric acid there, wait about fifteen minutes and rinse off the water.
  • Pour half a liter of borax and the same amount of vinegar into the water remaining in the tank, and after two hours wash everything off.
  • You can also add four sachets of citric acid to the tank and rinse off after a few hours.

Important! Always use rubber gloves and a respirator when working with acids.

Useful advice

To prevent this clogging anymore, you can install a cleaning filter at the water inlet or periodically throw special tablets in the tank that soften the water and clean the entire drainage system.

Water is not fully collected or is missing

If there is too little water in the tank, of course, it is impossible to make a full drain and there are a lot of reasons for this:

  • The float may close the valve too early. To fix this problem, you need to fully tighten the screw that regulates the operation of the float.
  • A blockage formed between the drain hole and the petal, as a result of which the water simply drains completely into the toilet, and does not accumulate in the tank. In this case, it is necessary to disassemble the fittings and thoroughly clean the drain from plaque and debris.
  • The rubber elements above the drain have become too stiff. In such a situation, wear parts must be replaced.

Important! If you have done everything as described above, but the problem has not been solved, then you must definitely call a specialist.

Flowing toilet tank

This problem can be eliminated, but this work is quite painstaking and troublesome. First you need to understand why the toilet does not flush well in this particular case, and only then deal with the problem:

  • The pear saddle is clogged. In the event of such a breakdown, you just need to remove all the garbage.
  • The pear is worn out or deformed. Here you have to replace the pear with a new one, of the same design.
  • Steel bolts have fallen into disrepair. That is why water can flow to the shelf through the hole. In this situation, you must either completely replace the entire system or install new bolts.
  • The float is deformed. That is why it can let water through because of its heavy weight. You just need to change it to a new one.
  • The siphon membranes may have been damaged. Correcting the situation is very easy by buying new membranes.

The bowl is filled during flushing

If the bowl begins to fill with water when flushing, most likely there are problems with the sewer. You can solve the problem as follows:

  • Use a plunger and eliminate household blockage by creating hydraulics inside the toilet. Due to the movement of air, the accumulated dirt will come out.

Important! This option is not always suitable, because how often dirt accumulates in the joints and on the walls of the equipment.

  • You can use various chemical compositions. But the main thing here is to strictly follow the instructions, because it is easy to damage plastic or steel pipes with chemicals.
  • A plumbing cable will come to the rescue. This is almost an extreme measure. It consists of a metal wire in the form of a spiral. There is a hilt at one end, and a ruff at the other. Its length reaches three meters and this is enough to eliminate the blockage at a great distance.

Enamel damage

Quite often it happens that the toilet begins to flush poorly due to damage to the enamel covering the ceramics. The fact is that cracks, roughnesses, chips do not allow waste products to freely go into the sewers when flushing.

Important! Only replacing the toilet can help here, because it is almost impossible to repair it inside, in particular with your own hands. In addition, this is a costly affair - it’s easier to completely upgrade the plumbing.

Incorrectly planned sewage system

In a private house, a situation also often occurs when the toilet is poorly flushed. What to do in this case? To understand, first of all, how correctly the sewer system was installed, whether all the norms were observed at the same time. It is because of a technical omission that water can slowly leave, and waste products will not wash off completely.

There are several reasons for this, so you need to carefully study each of them and understand how to fix the problem:

  • Incorrect slope of the background pipe, which is responsible for the ventilation of sewer pipes.

Important! Unfortunately, it is impossible to fix this situation, you need to completely redo the entire system or install an electric pump for forced drain.

  • Lack of background riser. Because of this, air jams begin to form, and the water is not able to drain evenly at the required speed. This problem can be solved by installing a vacuum valve or by installing a special pipe directly to the roof.
  • Incorrect toilet connection. Such a malfunction is easy to solve, you need to check everything again, find out what errors were made during installation in order to quickly eliminate them.

Unsuccessful plumbing design

If a completely new toilet bowl does not flush well, the reasons for this are usually due to its special design. For example, models with a bowl with a shelf are considered the most unsuccessful, since they are characterized by poor drainage of water.

Therefore, it is better to buy toilet bowls with a circular flushing system, so that water drains simultaneously from several holes located under the rim, so that the entire bowl is washed completely.

The listed reasons for insufficient flushing in the toilets are not serious and completely removable - you will not have to involve specialists in the work. The main thing is to adhere to all recommendations and do everything slowly.
