The main accessory that is in every house is a mirror. It is used not only for its intended purpose, but also as a decoration. • marked points are drilled, dowels are inserted into them;
• the holders put on the screws and screw them into place;

Using dowels

It is much more difficult to hang a mirror on the wall with dowels. This is a time-consuming process, as the product will have to drill holes. If there is no special tool and skills for such work, then the mirror can be damaged. How is the installation:

• First, holes are made in the canvas. It’s better not to do it yourself, but to contact a specialist.
• Mounting points on the wall are marked with dots, after having attached a mirror to it.
• Markings are drilled with a drill. The drilling nozzle is selected according to the type of surface. The depth of the holes should be up to 10 mm. The plugs of dowels are inserted into them. Then you need to attach the clamping parts.
• The product is applied to the wall and the screws are screwed.
• The mirror is checked for strength. If it is held firmly, the screw caps can be closed with protective caps.

Double-sided tape and glue

You can hang a round mirror on the wall without drilling and nails. To do this, use a special double-sided tape or glue that looks like liquid nails. Such a hidden mount is suitable for walls that cannot hold heavy items on dowels. This applies to surfaces made of drywall, foam block and other fragile materials. Mounting is carried out as follows:

• If the mirror is hung on a deformed wall, then, being under constant tension, sooner or later it will burst. Therefore, the surface must be absolutely flat, smooth. You can even it with a primer.
• Before sticking adhesive tape on the surface of the canvas or applying glue, it must be degreased. Do the same with the wall.
• If too much glue is applied to the edges of the product, it will squeeze out during gluing to the wall, which will ruin the appearance.To prevent this from happening, you should work with the latch carefully.
• The product is pressed against the wall for about 10 minutes so that the adhesive substance seizes. If it is not possible to hold the product yourself, you can build and install special supports.

Features of installation depending on the base

Sometimes you can’t hang the canvas firmly, as the wall is made of fragile materials. For example, if it is drywall, then you can’t do without the adhesive method. When mandatory use of dowels is required, they can be replaced with special fasteners in the form of dowel butterflies. Mounting methods on different bases:

1. Concrete. On a concrete base, the mirror cloth is hung in various ways. If it is tape or glue, then the surface of the wall is primed. To make holes for fastenings, you will have to use a punch, as this material has a strong structure.
2. PVC panel. This material is often used in the decoration of toilet rooms. It’s difficult to hang a product on it. Do not drill holes for fasteners, this installation method is unreliable, it is better to use silicone glue.
3. Brick. Any mount is suitable for the brick base. Before work, the surface is cleaned and primed. If double-sided tape is selected as a retainer, then the wall is enough to degrease. Adhesive tape is glued with strips with a distance of 8 cm from each other. Then the protective film is removed, the mirror sheet is applied to the surface and pressed. When using glue, work is carried out carefully, since the product glued with it will not be removed from the wall. Moreover, the surface of the mirror is not completely covered with adhesive substance, but partially.
4. Tile. It is better to fix the mirror to the tile with silicone sealant. It tolerates temperature extremes and has moisture resistant properties. To ensure that the product is firmly fixed to the tile, the surface is thoroughly cleaned of grease and dirt. Sometimes the tile located in the fastening zone is removed. It turns out a niche into which a mirror is inserted. But this is not necessary, the main thing is to choose a quality glue. 2. Liquid Nails. The peculiarity of the composition is that it remains elastic after drying and does not harden. Suitable for wood, metal, painted surfaces. Grasps well on plaster. Sold in 310 ml cartridges.
3. SOUDAL 47 A. The main substance is synthetic rubber. The substance has good adhesive abilities, quickly hardens. Suitable for any kind of surfaces. It is not recommended to use for mirrors with an amalgam coating of low quality, since the glue contains a weak solvent. Therefore, a test should be performed before use. The volume of the tube is 310 ml.
4. Tytan. It is made on the basis of synthetic rubber with the addition of resins. The color of the composition is light beige, the solidification time is 15 minutes. Cartridge volume - 300 ml. Apply on all porous surfaces.
