  • if you want to iron a thing made of wool, do not forget to put gauze when ironing;
  • synthetics also need to be ironed with protective material and at a minimum temperature;
  • it is impossible to iron any fabric with a dirty sole device, just as it is impossible to drive a clean sole over a product with spots - the dirt migrates from one surface to another.

  2. Sprinkle soda on top.
  3. Crush the lumps.
  4. Top with vinegar in a small amount. For greater efficiency, you can add ammonia. If there is no vinegar, just ammonia will be enough.
  5. Wipe the iron thoroughly on a towel. The foam that has formed will clean the metal surface of the sole from dirt.

Important! If it was not possible to clean the iron - try to heat it, and then repeat the same steps.

Pencil cleaning

A convenient and inexpensive tool that helps clean the sole of the iron from soot is chalk or pencil.It is called very simply, “A pencil for cleaning the iron.”

Important! The only condition that must be observed during use is ventilation, or even outdoor cleaning. This is necessary because, as a result of this procedure, a very noticeable unpleasant odor appears.

Stages of using a pencil:

  3. It is not advisable to heat it to a maximum temperature - select the minimum mode. If the sole is very hot, then you just burn your fingers.
  4. Clean the hot sole of the iron with a vinegar rag or a cotton pad, but be extremely careful.

Important! Please note that during cleaning, vinegar will warm up, and its fumes will begin to spread throughout the room. Never bring the iron close to your face so that an unpleasant odor cannot get into your nose.
