Preparing clothes for washing

Fresh traces are always easier to remove than old ones, so at the first stage you need to process the cream trace as quickly as possible. At this stage, they will help us.

Solid stain removers

They are very convenient to use, since they are available in the form of pencils. You just need to apply them to the problem area, and then rinse with water.

Important! Their minus is that they are effective only in relation to traces of water-based foundation, and even then if the pollution is fresh.

A large number of stain removers of various manufacturers are presented on the modern market. We have prepared separate reviews of the most popular of them:

Makeup remover

Since these products are designed to remove cosmetics and do not contain caustic substances, they are also suitable for removing stains from tonalki from clothing. Using them is very simple:

  1. Apply the product, such as micellar water, on a cotton pad.
  2. Gently wipe the problem area.

Important! This works well on fresh spots, but is unlikely to help with old, stubborn spots.

Wet wipes

If you are away from home, you can use wet wipes. They will help if you have a tonic with minimal fat content. Remove any visible cream residue and wipe the area with a damp cloth.

Important! The stain needs to be processed until the napkin ceases to absorb the color of the tonic.

Refined gasoline

To remove traces of tonalki, in some cases, gasoline is used, of course, not engine gas, but refined. It has almost no smell. Sold in business departments.

Apply it in order to remove the foundation from clothes as follows:

  1. You need to drip gasoline on the stain.
  2. Clamp on both sides with cotton pads and hold it a little.
  3. After that, clothes should be washed.

Important! All these tools are also suitable in order to remove the foundation from the sofa, only you need to make an adjustment for the type of upholstery and its shade.

Jamming and soaking

At this stage, they will come to our aid.

Dishwashing Detergents

Since they are designed to break down fat, stains from greasy foundation will be removed. To do this:

  • apply liquid to the stain;
  • leave for a couple of hours, if the stain is old, if fresh - enough for half an hour;
  • then wash your clothes normally.

If the trace still remains, the procedure can be repeated.

Important! You should not use colored liquids to remove stains from light clothing - pigment traces may remain.

Soap

When curing, you can use any soap that is at hand. For light impurities, the problem area is rubbed with soap, washed by hand and washed off under running water. The procedure can be repeated until the stain is washed off.

Important! If the traces are very noticeable, it is better to rub them with soap. In the case of soiled clothes - we rub on both sides, soak in water with washing powder dissolved in it for three hours.

Laundry soap “Antipyatnin”

This soap is specifically designed to remove stains. It copes with stains from foundation. It is necessary to soap the problem area and rub it vigorously with your hands, then wash off the soap with water.

Bleach

Chemical bleaches such as Vanish, which are usually added to the wash, can also help. A thing stained with cream should be soaked in water with such bleach for several hours. Better yet:

  • dilute a small amount of powder in water until liquid slurry is obtained;
  • put on a blurred place;
  • leave for a couple of hours;
  • then wash it in a washing machine or manually, if it is clothes, and wash off with a sponge - if it is a sofa upholstery.

Important! Such bleaches are not suitable for all types of fabrics, so read the instructions carefully. For example, it is better not to clean natural silk or wool.

Dry cleaning

There are situations when washing is impossible or difficult. For example, if the question arises, how to clean the collar of a down jacket from foundation, or how to remove the foundation from the sofa. For such cases, there are methods of so-called dry cleaning.

Cleaning with ammonia and soda

This is a phased method:

  1. At the first stage, we apply a 10% solution of ammonia to two cotton swabs (you can also use a napkin for the sofa). Apply tampons on both sides of the product to the contaminated area, press firmly and rub a little. Leave on for a few minutes.
  2. At the second stage, pour baking soda on this place. Then carefully brush off with a stiff brush.

Starch Purification

In some cases, traces of tonalki can be removed using starch. To do this, pour starch abundantly on the contaminated place, and then gently clean this place with a brush.

Alcohol cleaning

You can remove a fresh stain from a fleecy or fur surface with alcohol. It is enough to gently wipe the stain with a swab dipped in alcohol.

Important! If you don’t have alcohol on hand, ordinary vodka will do.

Black fabric is very sensitive to stain removers, so be careful. And then in place of the stain from the foundation you will get a shed light spot, which will be even more difficult to get rid of.In such cases, it is best to use gasoline or dishwashing liquid.

Denim is no less capricious. When using stain removers, it sheds a lot. Therefore, in this case, not all funds will do. The safest include:

  • dishwashing liquid;
  • petrol;
  • ammonia and soda;
  • cosmetics.
