Smooth coatings

The easiest way, of course, is to remove adhered clay from smooth materials that do not have a relief pattern. How to wipe plasticine from such wallpapers?

  • Using a scraper, remove the top layer of adhered clay from the surface of the wallpaper. Try to do this carefully so as not to scratch the coating and not smear the sticky mass even more on the surface of the wall.
  • In the second step you will need a hairdryer. With it, you need to warm the affected area. Remove the melted mass with a clean cloth or paper.

Important! Do not use newspapers or napkins with a pattern or texture for these purposes, or you will aggravate the problem, and you will have to think later how to remove traces of improvised means.

  • Instead of a hairdryer, you can use an iron, ironing a problem area through a napkin. Change the cloth periodically until all traces are completely removed.
  • After all these manipulations, it remains only to remove the oily stain. You can remove it with a soap solution. Moisten a sponge in a soap solution and treat the problem area, then you can dry this place with a hairdryer and evaluate the result of the work done.

If the first time you could not completely remove all the traces, then leave the wallpaper for a while, then try again.

  1. First you need to glue a piece of white material to the problem area directly on top of its unlucky “brother” and tear it off sharply. This must be done several times until the bulk of the mass stuck to the walls is removed.
  2. Now you need to warm this place with a hairdryer and get it wet with a napkin.
  3. A grease stain can be cleaned with soapy water or white spirit, and then dried.
