  • Stains from wine, sauce, juice or berries should be removed with a soft cloth (if the stain is still fresh) or with a pH neutral detergent, warm water and a light nylon cloth.
  • Stains from tea, coffee, fruit juice or wine can be removed from the floor with a slightly alkaline solution or soda.
  • Methyl alcohol, diluted with water in a 1: 1 ratio, cleans parquet well from traces of chalk, colored pencils and felt-tip pens.
  • Remove grease stains with liquid household soap, purified kerosene, paste or dishwashing concentrate. Apply to stain, wipe with a soft cloth with warm water.
  • If scratches form on the coating, remove them with a wax pencil.
  • Blood stains can be easily removed with cold water. Then blot the coating with a soft, absorbent material.
  • Denatured alcohol is excellent help from traces of lipstick, mascara, ink.
  • After repair, if wallpaper adhesive has got on the parquet, remove it with warm water and a soft, light cloth.

If none of the cleaning products give the desired result, you will have to make more efforts and polish the parquet. For this:

  1. Walk over the entire surface with a looping or grinding machine, periodically spraying the surface with water - this will help to quickly eliminate the dust that has formed.
  2. A similar, but more laborious procedure is manual grinding of the parquet. This can be done with sandpaper. Use coarse-grained first, and then fine-grained - this will help remove all types of contamination from the floor and literally update it.

Important! At the end of this procedure, no matter what tool you use, be sure to cover the surface with 2-3 layers of varnish.
