To wash or not to wash?

Following the entry into the market of more and more seemingly perfect means for cleaning kitchen utensils, studies are being conducted to identify the degree of their environmental cleanliness. According to their results, it turns out that most of the freely available dishwashing detergents are by no means harmless to the human body. And even by choosing the most expensive, you can hurt yourself.

The thing is that almost any detergent is not completely washed out from household items when rinsing and, thus, gets into our food. We are not even talking about the harm caused to the environment by such use, because the remnants of detergents are not completely removed when filtering the water, but get into water.

So what to do? After all, washing the dishes is necessary.

Our predecessors, who worked on washing plates, cups, pots for longer, were definitely healthier. What did they use to wash the grease and food debris from the dishes? Throw away options such as sand and ash, because in modern apartments they are unlikely to be found. But laundry soap or soda - that’s it.

Can I wash dishes with household soap? The reasons for this are as follows:

  1. It consists of sodium salts and fatty acids (usually the latter in soap 72%). This allows you to effectively clean the surface of kitchen items.
  2. It lacks all sorts of perfumes, preservatives, dyes. The soap is completely hypoallergenic, harmless.
  3. Even if you pour soapy water directly onto the ground, you will not harm the environment.

Thus, we can conclude that laundry soap is a universal remedy. It is ideal not only for washing clothes, but also for washing dishes. Soap perfectly relieves it of fat and is easily washed off in water. You can wash dishes with soap directly using a bar, soap chips or soapy water.

Interesting fact! Much earlier, when one could only dream of medical gloves, surgeons used laundry soap to create a protective film on their hands. They thoroughly washed their hands, waited for the foam to dry, and only then began the operation. Thus, they reduced the risk of infection during surgery.
