Powdered or solid detergents

This species remains the most popular today. In the Russian market, its share is about 95%. Conventionally, powders can be divided into 3 price categories:

  1. Low
  2. Medium.
  3. High.

Granular powders are often found among powder mixtures for removing dirt. They are more convenient to use. In addition to universal washing powders, there are a number of specialized ones that are used for different types of fabrics. Separate mixes for colored linen are also produced. On the package there is an inscription “Color”. Mixtures of this type have a milder effect, and also contain polymers in the composition, which prevent the transfer of dye from colored products.

Liquid detergents

The proportion of liquid detergents is constantly growing in the total volume of all products, but they are still less popular than powdered ones. The main reasons for their slow growth in consumption are:

  • high price;
  • low washing culture;
  • lower efficiency compared to powder ones.

The concept of “washing culture” implies not only the attitude of people towards the washing process, but also an understanding of the importance of the preservation of fabrics and the color of the product after cleaning. There is a low awareness of the use of special detergents for washing different types of fabrics.

Important! Unlike America, where the use of such concentrates is 50%, washing machines for using this type of product are not so widespread in the post-Soviet territory. The higher the vital indicator of the population level, the greater the demand for liquid detergents.

Initially, “liquid powder” was intended for hand washing products from delicate fabrics, silk and wool. Recently, concentrates have appeared on the market for other types of fabrics, including cotton.

Liquid detergentsIn a chain of stores, they can be under the following names:

  • “Liquid powder”;
  • "Gel";
  • "Emulsion".

Important! The differences in these agents are concentration or viscosity. They are produced in plastic bottles with volume from 0.85l to 1.5l. In most cases, the bottle has a convenient handle. The cap simultaneously serves as a measuring cup. The instructions indicate the flow rate not only in milliliters, but also in caps. The second form of release is replaceable plastic bags. This form is convenient to buy, and it costs less.

Advantages of liquid detergents:

  1. Fluid concentrates do not “dust”, therefore they do not get into the respiratory tract and do not irritate the skin. They can be used even by people who are prone to allergic reactions.
  2. If your washing machine is located in the kitchen, then chemicals will not get into food.
  3. Convenience and accuracy of dispensing, which means economical consumption.
  4. Reliability of storage and transportation.
  5. Do not collect moisture from the environment, do not cake.
  6. Well soluble in water.
  7. Easy to apply on stains.
  8. Well washed off contaminated tissue.
  9. Can be used for washing glass, dishes.
  10. The best option when washing delicate fabrics.
  11. Differ in soft impact on fabric, does not destroy it, does not wash off dye.
  12. Easy to rinse out.
  13. Can be used at low washing temperatures.

Disadvantages of liquid detergents:

  1. Low efficiency for removing greasy, oily contaminants.
  2. They have a short shelf life.
  3. High cost.
  4. Missing descaling components.

Important! It is advisable to use liquid detergents in areas with soft water, or if you add a descaling agent during use.

Ways to use “liquid powder" in machine wash

Manufacturers produce “liquid powder”, a gel that is viscous. It is this property that determines the method of using such a concentrate in machine wash:

  1. Specialists recommend that non-viscous liquids be poured into the washing hopper in the distribution hopper of the cleaning agent, where you usually fill up with dry powder.
  2. Pour the viscous mixture directly into the drum of the washing machine, as it will not be washed off the dispenser. If you pour the gel into the detergent chamber, the agent will not be washed off immediately, but will slowly drain to the end of the wash, and even when rinsing, which is not permissible.
  3. In addition to the cap, some manufacturers use a special knob attached to it, which is placed with the right amount of gel in the drum of the washing machine. The advantage of this method is that during the washing process the gel is completely washed out of the knob.

Important! If you use “liquid powder” during machine washing, then pay attention to the temperature conditions indicated on the packaging. Usually this: you can wash at 30-60 ° C. For lightly soiled linen, a temperature of 30-40 ° C is suitable. In modern washing machines there is a special program for this type of washing. It can be called “Daily Wash” or “Refresh”, as well as “New Things”. Another group of products for which fluid mixtures are recommended is clothing made from delicate fabrics. It is liquid detergents that have a gentle effect that does not destroy tissues.

Liquid detergent color

The color of the concentrate may be blue, blue, light green, pearlescent or transparent. If the mixture is placed in a transparent container, then it is the color that affects your emotional attitude to the product, since it is in no way connected with the washing efficiency.
