Do-it-yourself ottoman in the anteroom with a lid

For work, prepare:

• MDF plywood sheet.
• Furniture foam.
• Upholstery textiles.
• Bar 44x41 mm.
• Stapler, staples.
• Marker.
• Glue.
• Wheels
• Jigsaw.

Operating procedure:

1. Saw 440x410 mm and 2-410x410 mm rectangular parts from MDF 4. The last two squares are the bottom and cover of the pouf. Saw the timber into 4 pieces of 440 mm. These segments will serve as stiffeners.
2. Screw the side parts to the bars, fasten together. It is important at the same time that the joints closely fit and be as neat as possible. Now fasten the bottom. The lid will be removable, it does not need to be fixed.
3. The frame is ready. Now cut two pieces of foam. One corresponds to the size of the cover, the dimensions of the other are 440x1640 mm.
4. Cut upholstery fabric into the same pieces as furniture foam, leaving seam allowances. Tape the base with foam, and then cover with a cloth, securing it with a stapler.
5. As in the previous description, equip the construction with wheels. Coat the inner surface with varnish. This will protect the wood from moisture.
